WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LASER AND THE INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)?
Both systems work on the principle of selective thermal decomposition, however IPL is a more modern method. The pulsed light system enables us to run the treatments on nearly all kinds of skin and hair. This method is safe, painless and more effective than laser. The device we use is additionally equipped with radio frequency waves (E-Light head) that allow IPL pulses to reach deeper and perform more effectively.
| Laser | IPL |
| Monochromatic beam of light |
Wide spectrum with a short-clear boundary |
| Colour of light associated with the type of laser |
Easily achieved spectrum change |
| Rays of equal wave length, polarized and coherent |
Easily matched waves of different lengths |
| Difficult modification of the shape of an impulse |
Simple impulse adjustment |
| Small operation surface |
Large operation surface |
ARE PHOTOEPILATION AND PHOTOFACIAL SAFE?
Yes. This hair removal method is non-invasive. The treatment doesn’t cause skin damage or irritation therefore it can be performed on very sensitive areas such as face, underarms and bikini.
IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
Due to a special head cooling system (even up to -4°C), all you feel during the procedure is a slight warmth or a gentle twinge.
IS PHOTOEPILATION A DURABLE TREATMENT?
Results are durable after performing a series of treatments (depending on the type of skin and hair). Single hair may appear after a period of around 5-10 years and then all you should do is having one enduring treatment.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE TREATMENT?
You should shave the areas you are about to treat around 2-3 days before the therapy so the hair is 2-3 mm long. By doing so, the light energy is easily absorbed by hair.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED TO HAVE?
The amount of treatments depends on colour, thickness of the hair, the type of skin and many others. Number of recommended treatments, dependes on many variables, and it's hard to determine it at very begining.
CAN I HAVE A TREATMENT ON EVERY PART OF MY BODY?
It is possible to perform the treatments on all body parts except for areas directly surrounding your eyes.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?
Depending on the body part, legs - around 45 min, underarms - 15 min, moustache - 1 min
IN WHICH CASES SHOULD I NOT DO THE PHOTOEPILATION?
The main indicators against proceeding with this kind of treatment are skin diseases (eg. psoriasis, albinism, herpes, excessive skin sensitivity to light or taking any light-allergenic medications. Pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding shouldn’t proceed with the treatment either.
ARE THERE ANY SKIN IRRITATIONS AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Right after the therapy the skin might be slightly red, which passes after just over 10-15 hours. It is recommended that you use moisturising creams and UV filters after the treatment.
